Odour handling - Mavitec Rendering

Odour handling

Odour handling

The odours non-condensable, process air and room air, which are drawn from the rendering process require treatment. The tree types of odours have the following qualifications:

a. Non-condensables (high intensive, low quantity)
b. Process air (high intensive, medium quantity)
c. Room air (low intensive, high quantity)

By Chemical treatment with a Deodorizing Unit

1. The extracted odours are transported to the Deodorizing Unit.
a. Non-condensables (high intensive, low quantity)
2. Within the Deodorizing Unit chemicals treat the odours.
3. After the chemical treatment the clean air is directly released into the atmosphere.

By Chemical treatment with a single stage Chemical Tower

1. The extracted odours are transported to the Chemical Tower.
a. Room air (low intensive, high quantity)
2. Chemicals treat the odours in a single stage solution.
3. After the chemical treatment the clean air is directly released into the atmosphere.

By Chemical treatment with a dual stage Chemical Towers

1. The extracted odours are transported to the Chemical Towers.
a. Non-condensables (high intensive, low quantity)
b. Process air (high intensive, medium quantity)
c. Room air (low intensive, high quantity)
2. Chemicals treat the odours in a dual stage solution
3. After the chemical treatment the clean air is directly released into the atmosphere.

By Thermo oxidizing with a regenerative Thermo Oxidizer

1. The extracted odours are transported to the Thermo Oxidizer.
a. Non-condensables (high intensive, low quantity)
b. Process air (high intensive, medium quantity)
c. Room air (low intensive, high quantity)
2. The odours are oxidized in the several chambers of the Thermo Oxidizer. With the use of several chambers, heat is reused.
3. After the treatment the clean air is directly released into the atmosphere.

By Bio filtering

1. The extracted odours are transported to the Biofilter.
a. Non-condensables (high intensive, low quantity)
b. Process air (high intensive, medium quantity)
c. Room air(low intensive, high quantity)
2. The odours are blown through a biobed. The micro-organisms in the materials of the biobed break down the odours.
3. After the treatment the clean air is released into the atmosphere.
