Ukrainian and international investors have built a unique plant to implement innovative solutions for the processing of animal waste: FeedNova, the largest modern plant of feed additives in Ukraine. After two years of construction and installation the grand opening took place in Kyiv on 22 June 2021. With a capacity of more than 130 tons per day the company is ready to create the best nutrient values in the market.

Nadiia Kaznacheieva, Investment Director at UMG Investments, Igor Liski, chairman of the supervisory board of the Effective Investments group of companies and Maco van Heumen, CEO Mavitec, cut the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of the plant. FeedNova and its partners presented the largest modern plant of feed additives in Ukraine. FEEDNOVA is an investment project of the group of companies (Effective Investments) in partnership with the Dutch company Mada Participations B.V. and UMG Investments. UMG Investments believes it is fundamentally important to invest in companies whose business is committed to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). Mavitec is one of the partners and proud to be part of this unique project.

In 2019 Mavitec signed a contract for the supply of equipment for the first stage of construction of the rendering plant. FeedNova is specialized in the production of animal proteins and feed additives. Mavitec assured the company that ‘the plant will not only have high-quality equipment to ensure the main technological process at the enterprise, but will also become the most modern in Europe.’ Exactly two years later, construction was completed. With a capacity of more than 20.000 tons of per year the company is ready to create the best nutrient values in the market. Modern equipment allows the company to work efficiently, quickly and safely for the environment and people, to process animal by-products and produce high protein feed additives.

The construction of the plant took place alternately. Among five production lines two independent lines for the production of meat and bone meal with a clear sorting of raw materials by origin, type and quality, were installed. These boilers are the heart of FeedNova’s production process, so their receipt and installation was a very important event. One Batchcooker 16.000 for handling red meat (meat and bone meal) and one Batchcooker 16.000 for feathers and hair (feather meal). Equipment was delivered to the plant in the second half of 2020. The capacity of the first line will be more than 12.000 tons of finished products per year. In general, the capacity of the plant will be more than 20.000 tons of products, which will also provide all suppliers of raw materials that are located on the territory of Western and partially Central Ukraine with a stable partner.

Mavitec looks back on construction and installation with great satisfaction and is proud to be part of this unique initiative. With faith in the future we are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation.
