Unieke roterende trommeldroger heeft oververhitte waterdamp bij atmosferische druk als droogmedium. Er is geen zichtbare pluim van drogeruitlaat. De uitlaat van de droger is in wezen waterdamp, die kan worden gecondenseerd om thermische energie terug te winnen en elders in de fabriek kan worden gebruikt. Er is minimale geurbestrijdingsapparatuur nodig. Het uitlaatvolume is veel kleiner dan bij vergelijkbare verwarmde luchtdrogers. Dus als een RTO wordt gebruikt, zal deze aanzienlijk kleiner en goedkoper zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Systeemventilator cre\u00ebert een circulerende lus van waterdamp. Warmte wordt opgenomen van de warmtewisselaar om de verdamping van vocht uit natte voeding in de droogtrommel aan te drijven. Het water dat uit het voer verdampt, verdringt lucht in de waterdampkringloop, waardoor de &quot;luchtloze&quot; omgeving ontstaat. Om de atmosferische druk in de droger te handhaven, is een ontluchtingscircuit nodig om de waterdamp af te voeren. Deze waterdamp kan worden behandeld met een conventioneel condensatiesysteem voor energieterugwinning.<\/p>\n<p>Rookgassen van een conventionele verbrandingsoven leveren warmte aan de warmtewisselaar.
